After several years on the market and multiple price cuts, the Park Avenue apartment where Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis spent a slice of her childhood has finally sold for $25.25 million, the Wall Street Journal reports. A relative bargain!

Once belonging to the former First lady’s parents, the palatial duplex at 740 Park Avenue—perhaps the priciest and most exclusive of Rosario Candela’s many pricy and exclusive buildings—was Onassis’s home from ages two to seven. (That’s not it’s only tie to the family: her grandfather, James T. Lee, developed the building around 1930.)

The abode has, of course, gotten some updates since then: the current sellers, hedge fund founder David Ganek (that David Ganek) and his wife Danielle picked up the place in 2005 for $19.1 million and renovated, though the biggest change may have been the addition of their modern art collection, which works by Richard Prince, Andy Warhol, and Cy Twombly. (Presumably, those were not included in the sale.)

Beyonce and Jay-Z have been making some major real estate moves as of lately: The power couple just purchased the East Hampton’s Pond House for just under $26 million, and over the summer, the musicians scored a Paul McClean-designed mansion in Los Angeles for a whopping $90 million.

And now, Bey reportedly parted ways her 44th-floor apartment in Midtown’s One Beacon Court. According to the New York Post, Bey discreetly sold the 2,669-square-foot corner apartment in just 11 days for $9.95 million. The apartment was used to host family members and friends—but with the couple’s expanding portfolio of enormous properties, who needs it?

The unit features interiors designed by Paris designer Jaques Grange three bedrooms, 3.5 baths, 11 foot ceilings, and is lined with floor-to-ceiling windows—and as such, it’s got views of Central Park, the East River, and the city’s skyline.

Back in 2011, Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, sold her 42nd-floor unit in the same building for $5.1 million. Safe to say, the Knowles-Carter family is moving on from Midtown. (But Bey and Jay still have their Tribeca loft, so they haven’t left NYC behind entirely.)

KYLIE JENNER -$5,400,000

Property size 5,150 sq ft

The young and incomprehensibly famous daughters of Kris and Caitlyn Jenner are certainly making a lot of waves on the LA real estate scene lately.

Last month, Kylie Jenner sold her first LA home, which she purchased as a 17-year-old in 2015. Now, TMZ reports that the model and TV personality has found a buyer for a separate house in Hidden Hills, which Jenner listed in December for $5.4 million.

Records show an offer has been accepted, but the price isn’t clear just yet—though TMZ reports it’s close to the original asking price.

Jenner picked up the four-bedroom, four-bath residence in June of 2016 for $4.5 million—leaving plenty of room for profit on the resale.

The muted, ranch-style home has just over 5,150 square feet of living space, with amenities that include a wet bar, in-home theater, swimming pool, and enclosed vineyard.

Jenner isn’t the only member of her family shopping properties this summer. Variety reports that older sister Kendall Jenner is selling a two-bedroom luxury condo in Westwood that she’s owned since 2014 for $1.6 million.

The elder Jenner is also selling a six-bedroom home above the Sunset Strip that she purchased from actors John Krasinski and Emily Blunt last year for $6.5 million. According to Variety, Jenner has quietly shopped the place around for $7 million—and is rumored to have accepted an offer, though the details of the sale have not been confirmed.

JOHNNY CARSON'S -$81,500,000

Property size7,083 sq ft

The lavish four-acre Malibu estate once owned by television icon Johnny Carson is on the market looking straight out of the golden era of Carson’s run as host of The Tonight Show.

Built in 1978 (Carson purchased it in the mid-1980s), the 7,083-square-foot residence was designed by architect Ed Niles and features a glassy, late modern design with sky-high ceilings and cavernous living spaces. Like the old Tonight Show set itself, the interior of the home features verdant ferns and vines dangling from the tall windows. There’s even an arboretum and a fully grown tree in the living room.

Film producer Sidney Kimmel and his wife, Caroline, purchased the home in 2007 from Carson’s widow, Alexis, the Los Angeles Times reports. The couple paid around $46 million for the home and restored it based on the original design style and aesthetic.

The compound, which boasts stellar views of the water off Little Dume Beach, features a two-bedroom home, along with a guest house, pavilion, gym, and locker room. The grounds cover four acres and include a tennis court, a koi pond fed by a dramatic waterfall, and a saltwater swimming pool.

The mansion sits on two acres and includes a total of four swimming pools, along with multiple balconies, a “wellness center,” separate staff quarters, and an full-sized basketball court. It’s a brand new spec house developed by investor Dean McKillen and designed by Paul McClean.

The $88 million sale is the largest in LA this year and the sixth-largest in LA history, according to the Times. The price just beat out that of David Geffen’s former Malibu estate, scooped up by Dodgers owner Mark Walter for $85 million in May.

KATY PERRY -$9,500,000

Property size 7,500 approx sq ft
Property size 4 Beds

Now in possession of a secluded spread in Beverly Hills, pop star Katy Perry is looking for a buyer for one of two adjoining homes she purchased from heiress Aileen Getty in 2013.

Variety reports that the singer has listed the larger of the two Hollywood Hills homes, a nearly 7,500-square-foot Mediterranean-style mansion, after failing to sell the two properties together in an off-market deal.

The four-bedroom home has been given a vaguely bohemian update since Perry purchased the place and includes amenities like a security guardhouse, a detached fitness building, and a swimming pool surrounded by stone quarried in Italy.

Situated on a two-acre lot surrounded by fruit trees and gardens, the home borders Runyon Canyon Park—a popular spot for hikers and celebrity dog walkers alike. Interior features include roomy living spaces, multiple fireplaces, and a master suite that takes up the entire second level and has its own Roman bath.

Perry has been fairly busy in the real estate market recently. In addition to purchasing the 5,500-square-foot residence in Beverly Hills, she also won a key court decision earlier this year allowing her to buy a former convent in Los Feliz, ending a bizarre legal battle between the singer and a group of elderly nuns.

Perry is asking $9.45 million for the Hollywood Hills property. She purchased it and the modern-style house next door for a combined $11.2 million just over four years ago.

Uber wealthy boxer Floyd Mayweather may be retiring to a six-bedroom home in Beverly Hills. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the fighter paid $26 million (just a fraction of the $100 million he earned for his latest bout) for a nearly 16,000-square-foot mansion near the Beverly Hills Hotel.

The purchase comes fresh off his 50th victory in the ring (and his unsavory but unsurprising comments in defense of “locker room talk.”)

Built in the ’90s, the home received a recent overhaul overseen by megamansion developer Nile Niami. Features of the residence include hardwood and marble floors, French doors, multiple fireplaces, built-in shelving, and an elaborate winding staircase leading to the second level.

In addition to the six bedrooms, the very well-equipped property includes an enormous kitchen, a separate cocktail bar and wine cellar, a master bedroom with its own balcony and en-suite bathroom, a gym, and a guest house with a home theater that seats 20 and has a built-in concession stand.

The home sits on a half-acre lot with a grassy backyard and a large swimming pool and spa.

Even with all those amenities, though, it’s a bit low-key for Niami, who in February listed a $100 million Beverly Hills spec house (and released this very sexual video to promote it). The home was initially advertised with a pair of luxury cars and an art collection worth millions of dollars. But as THR reports, the price has since dropped to $85 million, with the cars and art no longer included in the sale price.

ELLEN DEGENERES -$55,000,000

A strange new era dawns in Los Angeles: a comedian and talk show host has sold the Brody House in Holmby Hills—easily one of the best properties in Los Angeles—to a tech billionaire. The house has followed a very LA narrative since its birth in 1949, when it was designed by a Modernist dream-team (architect A. Quincy Jones, interior designer Billy Haines, landscape architect Garrett Eckbo) and built for philanthropist-types Sidney and Frances Lasker Brody. In 2010, it sold for the first time, at just under $15 million, to flippers, who did a very nice job freshening it up and turned it over to architecture-loving Ellen DeGeneres for a mindblowing $39.888 million. Now Ellen blows our mind again: after only a few months in the house, she’s sold it to Sean Parker, the founder of Napster and first president of Facebook (the Justin Timberlake, “a million dollars isn’t cool” guy).

Supermodel couple Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber picked up a new LA area home last week, spending $11.63 million on a five-bedroom residence in Beverly Hills’s exclusive Trousdale Estates neighborhood.

The 5,386-square-foot house was previously owned by OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder and his wife Genevieve, who purchased the 1959-built home in 2014 for $7.49 million and gave it an extensive remodel.

Positioned on a one-acre lot, the house is surrounded by gardens, yard space, and outdoor patios. Large sliding doors in open living spaces lead to an outdoor courtyard with a fire pit. Next to that is a swimming pool and spa with a bit of tree-shaded deck space.

Interior features of the home include hardwood floors, walls of glass, a fully updated kitchen, and multiple fireplaces. The master bedroom also opens to the outdoors and includes a massive en-suite bathroom.

The property hit the market in June with a $12.75 million asking price. David Gray of Partners Trust represented the sellers, while Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency represented the buyers.

Crawford and Gerber are also still looking for a buyer for a four-bedroom beach home they own in Malibu. Asking price for that residence is a cool $60 million.

Those Friends residuals must be hefty. Matthew Perry owns a midcentury stunner in the exclusive Bird Streets pocket of the Hollywood Hills, and he just listed it for $13.5 million.

The Los Angeles Times suggests the actor isn’t holding onto the place, because he’s spending a lot of time outside of LA while working on the play The End of Longing, which he wrote and stars in.

His house has been updated with an infinity pool, screen room, and contemporary fixtures. But the walls of glass and blended indoor/outdoor spaces look to be holdouts from 1962, when the home, located above the Sunset Strip, was constructed. It comes in at three bedrooms and five baths, and from the living room, you can see straight out over the city and to the bay.
